Directorate General of Intelligence and Investigation (DGI&I), FBR, Karachi, on Sunday claimed to have arrested two persons, who were reportedly involved in millions of rupees tax scam. According to official sources, the credible information was received that some unscrupulous elements were contravening the SRO 1125(1)/2011 to evade millions of rupees duty and taxes.

Reacting on this information, the staff of DGI&I had arrested two persons, who reportedly misused the said SRO and imported goods worth around Rs 2 billion without paying duty and taxes. They said the detained persons were running a fake manufacturing unit. A case in this regard is to be registered.
